When a person comes in to our office with what looks like an eczematous rash, we have to do tests to make sure it’s not just allergic skin or a staph infection. Sometimes a person will have a yeast super infection. So, for example, stubborn head and neck rashes in allergy patients that don’t respond to standard therapies typically are yeast super infections. They can mask as dandruff, rosacea or acne. We have ahighly effective treatment for these infections using antifungals. At the Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Institute, we specialize in treating skin allergies and conditions unique to the individual.
